Could anyone tell me why a person with Bipolar desease in their manic state does all the crazy things they do.Why are they so sexually irresponsible,finanancially crazy,and not like they usually are.Why does the sexual part act out.I don`t understand this.

A manic person lacks impulse control. The little voice in their head that says, "Hey, this might not be a good idea," shuts off, and they act first and think later. So one may sleep with a guy because its seems good at the time, but not be capable of examining the consequences. One may buy tons of crap because they like the stuff right then, without thinking about how much is left in the checking account for rent first. And one may argue with loved ones about seemingly irrelevant things (like the shade of blue someone wore at a party) because it seems so bloody important right then, regardless of the subject's importance to the situation (the discussion being that person at the party was not invited in the first place). A manic person just bulldozes thru life as fast as possible, and never thinks about anything but what seems most sensation-inducing at any given moment.

It is because of a chemical imbalance in the brain. when you are IN a manic state the actions you mentioned SEEM to make perfect sense. They are completely justifiable at that point in time to ther person doing them

They cannot control what is firing in their brain including sexual impulses.
