Laying on your belly pushes out the wind, even if it feels uncomfortable for a while. I used to take charcoal tablets before I figured out this works. If I don't do this it can be trapped in my belly for quite some time causing extreme pain. I was once stuck on a plane for hours with wind and it was terrible.

Any thing with simethicone. Loosen your pants waist, then have a cup of hot decaf or herbal tea. Lay down on your left side, with your right knee bunched up against your chest as far as comfortable. Even better, hug a pillow while you're laying like this, to keep your chest straight, and only your abdomen crunched up. The simethicone will create a larger "bubble", which is easier to release than a lot of little ones, and squeezing your abdomen will force it to its exit. I've had trouble for years, and this ALWAYS works.

You want to get something with Simethicone in it.
Gas-X is a good brand, as is the Maalox Gas Relief Formula (not the regular Maalox - that's for upset stomach).

Lay in bed face down with a pillow under your belly. The pressure helps squeeze the gas out.

You've gotten a lot of answers so far---you might try charcoal tablets too-if the disturbance is still in your stomach and has not
migrated too far south.
