The Old Testament of the Bible contains some of the Jewish dietary rules which included not eating pork. This is still followed by some people of the Jewish faith. Jesus was a Jew but did not establish the laws concerning kosher food. Christianity follows the period of Christ's life and most Christians would not subscribe to the dietary rules of the Old Testament.

According to the Gospel of Thomas (omitted from the conical gospels) yet was written earlier than the bible, describes Jesus's sayings.
7) Jesus said; Blessed is the lion that a man eats, because that lion will become human. Cursed is a man that a lion eats, because that lion will become human.
11b) The dead do not live, and the living will not die.
11c) When you ate dead things, you made them alive.
When you arrive into the light, what will you do?
111)Anyone living from the living will not die"
Although these sayings are mystical, scholars believe that Jesus highlights the fact that living people depend on eating dead plants and animals. Taking dead things and through digestion, incorporate them into themselves and make them alive.
Jesus' statement in saying 7) also has this process in mind, for as a lion, eaten becomes human.
The implicit answer to the question "what will you do when you arrive into the light?" is "eat living things"; in saying 111) we hear that "anyone living from the living will not die" Such sayings support a vegetarian criticism of meat eating, because eating "dead things" or animal flesh seems to be a practise that is ended when one begins to live from the living.
I understand that orthodox Christians will be unfamiliar with these sayings of Jesus but they are older than the bible, they were originally found in Egypt in late 1945, by a peasent named Mohammed Ali AL-Samman Mohammad Khalifa in the desert along with the Gospels of the Egyptians, the secret book of James, the secret book of John, along with much earlier scrolls which are called the dead sea scrolls.
These scrolls give us a different view of early Christianity, before the founding of the Roman catholic churches orthodoxy.
So Jesus may have been even more strict about eating meat than eating swine.
One must remember that Saint Paul changed the rules to appease his new gentile followers and the break was made from Jesus' ministry and that of its foundation, Judaism.

Yes!
There are many references in the Old Testament as well as the New Testament telling us that pork is forbidden to eat. Jesus being a Jew never ate anything unclean; infact Jews don't eat unclean creatures. When Jesus was on earth; he ate a calf in the Old Testament and fish in the New Testament. When Jesus comes back; this is what he says to the one's that do eat pork:
ISAIAH 66:15-17 = "For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardend behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord."
** TEXTS THAT INVOLVE THE CLEAN AND UNCLEAN MEATS:
GEN.18:7-8; LEV.11; 20:25; DEUT.14; ISAIAH 66:17; EZEK.22:26; DAN.1:8; MATT.3:4; LUKE 24:41-43; ACTS 10:10-14(reference of not calling man clean or unclean Acts 10:28)

; 1COR.3:16-17; 9:27; 2COR.6:17; AND REV.21:8.
----IF THE CLEAN AND UNCLEAN MEATS WEREN'T VALID FOR TODAY; THEN WHY OH WHY WOULD THE LORD PLEAD WITH FLESH NOT TO EAT UNCLEAN MEAT--(ISAIAH 66:15-17). ALSO NOTICE DEUT.14:4 "SHALT NOT EAT ANY ABOMINABLE THING" AND REV.21:8 "...THE ABOMINABLE SHALL HAVE THEIR PART IN THE LAKE WHICH BURNETH WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE: WHICH IS THE SECOND DEATH."
More information about Pork (it has worms in it). SDA's at a college did a experiment with ham in the cafeteria of where they were at. They put the well done ham underneath a microscope and found worms in it. I believe what the word says; if it tells us not to eat pig--we shouldn't eat pig; plain and simple as that!

Yes Jesus did say not to eat swine. It is stated in the old testement. The new testement has been altered to take that part out, or amended.
Swine is a dirty animal, its the only animal that eats its own crap(poopu) - and there are alot of other bad health problems and diseases that can be developed by eating the swine.
One recent problem has been Ecoli bacteria, contamination which originated from pigs.

In Acts 10:9-15, Peter is given a vision from Jesus telling him that all meats are now clean; as such, there was no longer any division of "clean" and "unclean" meats for Jews AND for gentiles. (See also Acts 11:1-18).
The apostle Paul also confirmed this teaching from Jesus, most notably at 1 Cor. 10:23-25.
Both of these apostle's teachings are compliant with Jesus' teaching at Matthew 15:1-20, where Jesus taught that simply eating something doesn't defile a person.
So pork is ok for Messianic Jews and gentile Christians to eat.
Peace.

No, that's the old Jewish law, which Jesus taught was irrelevant.
Remember, much of his ministry was to Gentiles (non-Jews), and it would be difficult to recruit them if they had to apply the same cultural norms to new Christians as orthodox Jews had to follow.
You know, there's another word for Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. It's called the "Torah". Be wary of Christians who quote from Leviticus too much (i.e. mostly about smiting people who don't abide by very narrowly constructed social rules). They are essentially pork-eating Jews, and are quite confused about what is and is not Christianity.

The Jews were commanded not to eat pork; (Lev. 11); but the Christians do not have that restriction now(Acts 10).

extra effective than one project... "All 3 of the religions Christians, Muslims and Jews have faith in comparable God " Sorry, no. in simple terms for a initiate neither Muslims or Jews settle for the divinity of Jesus, an significant ingredient of Christianity. And the Acts 10 passage has no longer something to do with nutrition, it relatively is quite sparkling in context. (see 10:28) even nonetheless, the passage you like is Mark 7:14-23, which includes in the middle "subsequently he declared all meals sparkling."
