Not trying to be obnoxious, but for some reason Christians tend to try to be amatuer marketing agents (perhaps "selling" is a fundamental human quality). Then there's the over reaction to various new and/or old things such as "The Force, is it EVIL", "Harry Potter is a way to the devil", "Freemasonry is a cult". etc.... These things are extreme turn offs as are cars with a christian fish or bumper stickers speeding past you or driving obnoxiously...

Given that "the church" is really the people that make it up, then it's the people.

I only have a problem with the close minded judgmental Christians. The type of Christian you are depends on the church that you go to. If you worship with fanatics, you could become a fanatic. I attended a Pentecostal church briefly. Those morons made me run from God.
