Standard Poodles - the big poodles, not a fan of the small poodles at all though!
I like them because they don't shed like short haired dogs - they shed curls and hair & they don't shed AS much as other dogs. They are loyal, goofy and great learners - but they have their own personalities and can be very stubborn when they want to!
I have had five in my life and I can't imagine what it would be like without them!

I love Boxers. they are funny and loyal clowns. you have to give them a while to grow a brain. it takes some time for training just like most puppies but with a little patients and love you end up with one of the best breads there are. GREAT with my kids and grand kids, loves everybody and keeps us in stitches laughing he is so silly. I do have a couple other favorites though one is an Australian Sheppard and the other is a Border Collie. they are both great dogs. all the dogs i have mentioned are great dogs, working dogs. very loyal and protective without being aggressive. great with children or adults. the Australian Sheppard and Border Collies are a little smarter to begin with that the Boxers and are faster trained. all are great dogs, loving dogs.

I love Basset Hounds but I also love Great Dane's. I don't know if I could choose between the two if I had a choice of them so long as they are pups...if they were full grown or 1/2 grown already, I'd definately take the Basset. They are well mannered, fun, loyal, great with other animals, terrific with kids and all around, extremely loving and sweet dogs.

Boxers are very loyal to their owners and are very smart. The downside is that they usually have gas which is common for them.
Dauchsands are fun, like to play. The generally like to go to the bathroom in the house and it is a very difficult to break them of it.
Cocker Spaniels are very friendly, like to play, loyal and smart. The only downfall is that they require maintenance with grooming.
All breeds of dogs have their benefits and disadvantages, you just need to research the type of dog that you are considering and find the best type for yourself

anything that's bigger than a cat. Any dog that you can carry as an accessory is not worth a damn. I used to have neighbors that had 6 ankle biters and they bit my dog in the face 3 times!! If I wasn't a responsible dog owner I would have let my APBT out of his fence and gave him some ankle biter snacks!!

Pomeranians!
For several reasons: looks (they look like little teddy bears and come in a variety of colors. They also are quite furry so you can have many different cuts done on their fur for fun), size (great for apartments and smaller living spaces. Plus, when traveling, many hotels will allow a small pet without an additional fee.), intelligence, loyalty, and their happy demeanor.
