My kid's first birthday is coming up. The invitees have kids ranging from an infant to 6 years old. Please suggest what to give the kids as goodies.

Warm regards

I have to deal with this at every holiday, like Halloween, etc because I have so many different neices, nephews, and friends that range in age. I usually do a bottle/box of a healthy juice and some nice snacks. You can do all kinds of gerber snacks found in the baby/toddler aisle and even separate them into snack baggies for the infants. For older kids I like doing fruit snacks, granola bars, etc where I can buy a box and divide it up. As for toys, I have a harder time because I hate buying little cheap party favors that are just going to break/take up space and they are going to forget about. If you have pics of your child and any of his friends together, maybe make little cute picture frames for the kids to take home and hang on their wall or in their room. For infants maybe you can find inexpensive teething rings, etc at Walmart. You can also get things like coloring books, crayons, books, etc from dollar stores for the older ones. Plus - I seem to have to go all out and make a huge bag, but sometimes less is more and I have been learning to cut back and use small loot bags/lunch bags so they seem more full to me just so I'm not buying buying buying!

Kids like food, so healthy snacks are always good. For my son's birthday party, I tailored the goodies to the age of the guest. Since most of the guests were older, they had normal goodie bags. The babies got things like teethers or rattles, and some baby snacks.

I gave wooden stacking blocks. They grow with the child for years, are inexpensive & never go out of style. Even 4 of them are interesting at that age. Stacking & building are great activities for them. Most party goodies are too small or can be harmful so I chose the blocks. I anticipated they might throw them so I waited till they left to pass them out!

Keep in mind that kids get too much sweets these days. For the older kids I would get some fresh fruit and some kabob sticks and let them make their own fruit kabobs. For the littler ones why not just some toddler fruit snacks.

Small - age appropriate toys.

Perhaps soft books for the infants. Thicker books for the toddlers and preschoolers.

For the first birthday party most people don't expect goodies, cause their so young.

well i would give the infants something that they can chew like a nuk.
and the older one a toy that is fun to play with like a little car or little dolls it depends on who is their like a boy or a girl.

We gave snack packs, like teddy grahams, graham crackers, and toys like balls and things that all the kids would be interested in.

So far all good ideas here. Stickers and small coloring books with (washable) crayons are also popular as are bubbles.
