my ex and i broke up a month ago, she wanted to figure out things in her life by herself, sometimes girls need the space. been going out for 2 yrs. I was thinking should i still get her something for x-mas showing that i still care which i do and that would be the last thing i would do for her. or should i just wait until she makes the move.

bad idea. Don't buy gifts for people who have no desire to be around you. One of the consequences of choosing to break up and be alone ("space") is that you don't get prezzies from the people you told to get lost.

I would send her a card. If you really want to get her something to let her know you still care... get her something that only she will know what the meaning of the gift is. Something sentimental that happened between you two that she really enjoyed. If you went to a certain place, get her a gift that represents that place. I got a gift from a person one time of a little snow globe that had a cabin in it. I went on vacation and met this guy and just had a mini relationship with him while we were there. He later sent me that gift. It instantly reminded me of that trip and him, only we knew about that cabin...

If you feel that a present would remind her of your feelings for her then I don't see anything wrong with buying her a gift. You may not want to expect one in return though. Also do not get her an extravagant gift. You may want to purchase something that a friend would give rather than an intimate lover.

Send her a Christmas card. She will know that you are thinking of her. Be non-commital on the card. If you are going to hang around for her, than let her make the first move. If nothing happens within a month to six weeks, move on.

Definitley DO NOT get her anything. It makes you look more desperate. Honestly, if you want her to be curious about you and want you, DO NOT GET HER ANYTHING. Don't even call her on Christmas Day. She will start wondering what the heck is wrong with you, and thinking "Does he not still like me, am I not good enough, is this "break" even bothering him"??? You will have her calling YOU before you know it.

Good Luck

Your a cutie to even ask. Yes, if you want to get her something get it for her because you want to. If you have concerns about whether she would want it or not then don't. After two years of knowing her go with your gut. Your gut will tell you if she really would care or not. Best of luck!

i would get her something, then just dont talk to her for a couple of days. (This will kind of confuse her, like when you all of a sudden talk to her and then dont talk to her she'll probably miss you, she will start thinking, "do i want to be with him or what?") after 3 days or so stop to talk to her. If she sounds kind of excited to see you that's a pretty good sign, but if she just says hi or somthing it would be best to just don't talk to her.

Good idea...

I'd send her a really nice Christmas card... mention in it that you're thinking of her and that you're there if she needs to or would like to talk.
