Would a picture of me make you feel better?

Actually to answer the question more in the spirit that I think it was asked...
Women are naturally more proned to bouts with depression due to ongoing hormonal rollercoaster rides. PMS, post-partum, menopause, etc. Although these things can be felt by the man, they are sympathetic so the effects aren't going to be as severe. Between the depression and the hormonal swings, women's bodies have a harder time nailing down a steady metabolism and when the body is in doubt it always stores energy before dumping it. Also women do tend to store energy and nutrients in preparation for pregnancy.
Also for some reason women are more likely to use "comfort foods" than men. Men tend to rather give themselves to some other form of addiction when faced with depression. That one I would say is more of a societal thing based partially in the Christian influenced social system where gluttony is the only "acceptable or proper" vice to partake of for women.

I think cellulite is mainly due to female hormones (estrogen) that cause the connective fibers in the skin to stretch, the fat then bulges through and you have a bumpy or dimply look.
And you don't have to be overweight to have cellulite, it is just the way your skin is mostly. Some are more prone to it than others. I have very fair skin, and I suspect that is why I always had a little cellulite, even as a skinny teen.
And because of the hormonal factor, most men do not get cellulite. Their skin is thicker and the connective fibers don't stretch out as easily (their hormones help their skin stay firmer, men also deposit fat differently, have it on different areas of the body than women do)

Good question.

In women, the unpleasant effect of cellulite isn't produced by an especially lumpy kind of fat; instead, it's due to the way the tissue just under the skin traps the fat. The collagen fibers that connect the muscles to the skin are arranged in a honeycomb pattern, with fat stored in each of the chambers. When these chambers get too full, the contents bulge against the skin, giving it a quilted look.

However, men (even those who are obese) rarely have cellulite because their skin is thicker than women's and their collagen fibers are arranged in a horizontal criscross pattern that holds fat firmly in check rather than letting it press against the skin.

HTH : )

"This appearance is much more common in women than in men because of differences in the way fat, muscle, and connective tissue are distributed in men and women's skin."

Comment about grammar. Why do not men get cellulite? Instead should you have written? Why is it that men do not have cellulite?

Merry Christmas.

Women have on average a much higher boy fat percentage than men, because their bodies are always preparing them for birth. The extra fat serves as food storage for her AND the baby. If you'll notice, women whose bodyfat percentage drops below 10-13% will stop menstruating: generally the body considers her unfit for carrying a child so it stops the birth cycle.

Thus, men, who average roughly 8-10% less bodyfat, don't have the fat to cling to their body giving it the "cottage cheese" look. They simply don't need the fat.

The woman's body is basically spending its life waiting to carry a baby.

Thicker skin structure. Although some men may get it, 90-98% of cellulite cases occur in women.

Contribute it to the fact that men tend to work more labor intensive jobs. Cellulite is from a lack of activity.

Well, I've seen some dudes with some orange peel-cottage cheese thighs and it is NOT pretty!

So...they do get cellulite.
