I would think that as long as the Christian isnt a strict follower and was open to dating people with different beliefs everything should work out fine. Sometimes families could get in the way also.. so watch out for that. As long as you two share a strong connection then nothing should really matter. It doesnt hurt to try it out, so why dont you go for it and see what it leads to. If the difference in religion causes problems then there really is nothing you can do but move on to someone else. Dont let that change the way you think about everyone with different beliefs, every situation and every person is different. Good luck! Hope I helped!

With the example you gave I would say absolutely. Religion is a personal choice and as long as two people understand that they can make a relationship work without the same religious views. A discussion should be had about how raising kids will come into play is it gets more serious.

It depends on how deeply the religion plays a part in one individuals life. If they go to church or want to marry in a church it could be difficult. Ive read one yahoo question where the christian woman was not allowed to celebrate Christmas with her children because of her muslim husband. So it can make a relationship difficult but if you willing to accept each other religion and respect each others belief then you should be fine. Never force your beliefs on another or it will spell disaster. Two things never to discuss is religion and politics.....Good Luck!

Yes it does. As a fellow atheist and one who has dated a Christian girl it will never work out. I mean you actually think I'm going to walk down the aisle of a Church when I do get married? yeah fuking right. I say just bang them and get over them. Atheists really should be with other atheists because we see the world a lot more clearly than the rerst of the world still living in fiction.

Hello.. =)

Of course it is possible.....

Christmas is a Secular Holiday as well as a Christian one. As long as you leave some modicum of respect for each other's beliefs, then you will be fine. Don't try to convert the other one. You, of course, can discuss religion all you like, but leave the "heat" out of the argument, at all costs.

I was an Atheist (extremely) when I dated and married my Late Wife...she was a Baptist with Buddhist tendencies, but not very active.

It was never a problem, as we were both compassionate, intelligent people. There was some problems with me integrating into her family, as I do not easily "lie"....so when they would ask me things like "did I accept Christ as my personal Saviour"...I simply wouldn't answer, or avoided the question. Ultimately, they developed their own opinions about me because of this, and that led to problems with them, not between me and my wife.

Namaste,

--Tom

Is it will work; As long as u all are both worshiping someone; Do not let the different religions break u all up~ U do not have to agree on the same church; U can agree to disagree~ It can work; Just do not allow others to be in you all's EAR~

Depends on the individual people. As long as no one tries to change what the other believes everything will be fine. You will have to work out how to handle holidays if you will keep it seperate betwwen the 2 of you or not. Many questions but there is no one single answer.

i think that it doesnt matter to a certain extent. different people have different beliefs. as long as there is no arguing over your beliefs, i dont see how it couldnt work. but if the other person is trying to change your beliefs then it wont work. dont let anyone change your beliefs

for your example, I know it can work, because i know many people that are married and have been for 30 years like that...

the one that's religious (or both of them if they both are of different faths) can't try to force anything religous at all on the one that's not (or just the other person if they both are)...

there needs to be alot of communication otherwise, and rules set for each of them... but it can work!
