Well I don't know about the song nesacarily however, the earth is showing signs of major stress, which could be paralelled to the verse in Mark 5Jesus said to them: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 6Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many. 7When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
8Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.
9"You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them. 10And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. 11Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12"Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. 13All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
If you read these verses alone you can see soem of these things already happening. No one knows the day or the hour so you must be on your gaurd at all times...

I'm going to have to be straight with you here...
If you're actually serious, then you need to be afraid of whoever has steered you in this direction.
I actually had enough free time in my day (sadly) to read this article. First off, the record doesn't even say "Yahweh" tunes.
They purposely produced an extremely poor quality picture of the record, but it clearly starts with a capital "T", not "Y". They flat out lied about this word, and made the picture blurry enough so people wouldn't be able to easily tell. Now THAT's Scary.
I also noticed a huge rambling about how there were only "two songs in the bible". Which tree did this scholar fall from? There's definitely more than two. I'm not an expert, but even I know of the "Song of Solomon". Did the author maybe become a religious expert before reading the whole bible???
Very poor quality. Ultimately, who cares what Don Maclean meant when he wrote American Pie? He was just one very musical man. He was not a prophet or divine being in any other form.
Aside from this, I will address your original question:
YES.
It has ALWAYS seemed like we are at the end of times. Revelations was written so that it WILL ALWAYS seem this way, unless we are to rid ourselves of:
-religious persecution
-other religions
-war
-famine
-hurricanes
-technology
-earthquakes
In other words, take yourself out of your own religious viewpoint for a moment and look at the "signs" revelations speak of. You cannot argue with me that they have ALL existed since the moment it was written until the present.
If you were really brave, you would even ask yourself why this is. You might consider that writing a book which scares millions of people into obedience....forever...is very powerful...especially if you're a respected religious figure and the person they'll obey...is YOU.
I don't mean to upset people, i just had an urge to speak my mind today.

Yes, it's true that Christians have been claiming this since Jesus mentioned it, but that doesn't mean that we aren't in the end times now.
Forget the past. Just look at the world today! There has never ever been more corruption in the world. The world is becoming united and we are on the verge of losing all national sovereignty. Very very soon the global elite (who worship a satanic stone owl in Bohemian Grove in California) will make their move and take over the world. If you pay attention you can see it happening. Our rights are disappearing. Our "dollar" is worth about 2 cents. And the government officials are making deals with other countries without the permission of congress nor the people of this nor the people of the other countries. The American Union is going to be in place very soon and once that happens we will lose our constitution. The writing is on the wall and the end is indeed coming very soon.

Uh huh. Sure. It's the end of the world. Just like the followers of Jesus were certain that Jesus would return during their lifetime. The way "christians" openly translate their "holy text", and place no literal meaning on the words leads to the ability to translate the bible to mean anything andbody wants it to. The "living text" is an excuse. This prevents the "faithful" from asking questions about what the text actually means. You ask when time will end, they just spin it around and tell you "probably soon", and this increases the amount of people who show up to church, and put money in the offering plate. Humans love to be scared, and hear scary stories. What is more scary than the end of the world? So preach the fire and brimstone, and the weak minded will flock to your congregation. Filling your offering plates, so your pastor can engage in homosexual sex, on methamphetamines. And eventually you will end up with a group of weak minded "faithful" people, all looking to a book with no literal answers, for answers. Sounds a lot like your church, doesn't it?

I don't think any one in this country the United States has said that religion should be banned, I'm sure a few crackpots have but no one of any importance.
As far as the end of times, Christians have said we are living in the end of times since there have been Christians around to say it, and they will keep on saying it until Christianity is replaced by some other faith.
American Pie is a song about the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly.

That was so very cool, thanks. I believe it cause the song was published in the '70's and 70 was the amount of 'judges' God gave Moses to govern the people. Just thought that was fitting since we are talking about 'judgement day'. I believe wholly in God's Word being confirmed or supported. I hope that if those who don't believe it are right because if they are wrong ...whew! May I also add that people measure time by their clocks and calendars. That is a big mistake. Time is kept by God not man. When Jesus said this generation will not pass away he was talking about the generation that witnessed the last of all the things that he was talking about. There are references in the Old Testament especially in Daniel that tells of things yet to be seen. Since the word generation means a stage of time in history or season of a group of people not just the general 30 or so years. We must remember that anything God does must be understood and not taken for granted that we already know. He said to draw nigh unto him and he will draw nigh unto you. This is HIS world not ours we are mere visitors not the creators. It is understood with the wisdom he has given me that I will never fully understand HIM with my limited mind but I can accept that He is faithful and that He is, was and always will be. I know what 'the last days' mean... even if the world is here for a thousand more years. Time will never mean the same to us as it does God. If you don't believe me just have a case of deja vu' or have a head injury and lose a few years of your life and lets not forget the famous man that stayed in a coma for 19 years and refused to believe his grown daughter was off limits to make sexual passes to. Ever have that dream that really convinces you that you are experiencing reality? There you are with any variey of emotions until you WAKE UP. I'd advise people to not lean onto their own understanding but in all things acknowledge how limited your mind really is. There had to be a creator because you truly are wonderfully made and no accident or cosmic combustion could create the wonders of life without a plan carried out through wisdom.

I feel like it could be. But I know that history repeats itself, the question is, is how many times. People in all parts of history thought the world was coming to an end. I believe that Christ will come again, in time. We dont know when that is. It feels close. Stay close to the Lord, and the truth.

No doubt there are dynamic floods & earthquakes, HIV epidemic, wars & rumours of wars, growth of anti-Christian voice, one-world govt is coming (see UN plans), countries against Israel, all sorts of criminal activity abounding all at once. Now for the anti-Christ to appear, who will begin as a figure of peace but will unveil his real character claiming to be God with the help of the beast doing pseudo-miracles, will start the 7 yr countdown.

Did you know that Jesus himself predicted the end of the world? It's true! And you know what? He got it wrong!
Mark 13:29-30:
"Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened."
... I think that generation passed away a while ago now.

I have this theory..
When Hilary Clinton get's elected for president, the end of time will be right around the corner.
Also, the fall of the great nation will be in the hands of a woman. The great nation being the USA. When this nation falls, the world will fall. When the world falls.. well you get the idea.
