Looking for a good Italian restaurant(possibly in Little Italy), A good Asian restaurant, and a middle-eastern/mediterranean restaurant. Keep in mind, I have to bring a fairly wellbehaved 2 year-old who will need a high chair. Dress codes are not for us! We typically enjoy the same foods as locals. Please no fast food recommendations!

OK, this might be a bit more of a trek than you want, but I recommend Ristorante Del Sole.
It is on Dyckmann (200th) Street. Their # is 212-544-0406.

As you can tell from the fact it is on 200th Street, it is very far up in Manhatttan. But it is well worth the trip. The prices are very reasonable and the food is outstanding. To give you an example, my girlfriend and I have never spent more than $75 total, including wine, 20% tip, everything, but have always left very full.

To get there, you can take the A train from 42nd or 59th Street to Dyckmann/200th Street (about 25-30 minute subway ride) They are west of Broadway.

While you are there you can visit The Cloisters, an extension of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which is a rebuilt 15th century monastary. You could also visit Inwood Hill Park, Manhattans 2nd largest park. This area in Manhattan is very neglected by tourists, but it is full of neat stuff!

Other places to eat in this area are:

Guadalupe (Mexican cuisine) on 207th Street, just east of Broadway (212) 304 1083

The Park Terrace Bistro, on Broadway, just uptown of 207th Street, 212 567 2828. It is moderately priced, and serves Mediteranien and middle Eastern cuisine with a moroccan flair.

Right next door is The Garden Cafe, It has out door seating available in nice weather

Hope this helps.

most people don't want to trek all the way up to this part of Manhattan, but it is definitely worth the trip!
