In the Bible of St. John 14:6 Jesus said to one of his disciples "Iam the way the truth and the life, no man cometh but by me." In St. John 3:16 Jesus (GOD The Son) is sent by God his father to die so that whoever believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

If 90% of the world were truly tolerant of other faiths and accepting of the people of other faiths, don't you think the world would have been a much better and prosperous place?

One of our main goals of being believers in Christ, is SAVING THE LOST. I don't know if it would matter if there were 90% Christians, would the world be a better place? I think maybe not, because as people of God, we still sin and struggle; We're aren't any better than the sinners. The only difference is that we have been saved by grace and His grace is sufficent. We are here for a reason and we have been redeemed and saved for a reason. So, just focus in showing people the God that we serve; the merciful and loving God through our actions, words and our lives being shown to others of the abundant and great mercy and love God bestows upon us and His desire to reach the lost souls through us. I used to think of myself higher than others; don't be so heavenlyminded that you're not no earthly good. But try to think more openminded.

No I don't think so because we are after all human and we all give into temptation and sin. I accept and embrace Jesus as my Lord and Saviour but that doesn't mean that I don't sin. And that would be such a great idea but the world isn't perfect. There will always be pain and suffering somewhere. We can do our best to help as much as we can and that can be our contribution to making this world better.

As a Christian I disagree. The goal of Christians should be to see how alike we all are as humans. If you look at the Christian religion you will see so many branches and spin-offs that other than the symbol head of Christ, they are vastly different. All religons teach the almost the same message, Love God, Love others as you do your self. Even Jesus didn't just associate with only his followers.

That is asking for a lot. The televangelists who have fallen proves that even Christians are not perfect. If the world happened to be Christian, we would have about as much strife and division as we do today. My church even had a difference of opinion and split to form a second Church. This happens more often than you hear about. We just have to wait for the Millennium and then the New Heavens and New Earth for perfection. God bless and have a merry Christmas.

If 90% of the world were Christians don't you think the world would have been a much better and prosperous place?

Not necessarily!! There have lots and lots of "Christians" who have been the cause of continuous wars, famine and torture.

Let me rephrase your question and see if you don't agree with my premise.

If 90% of all Christians practiced Christianity... instead of their religion, the world would be a better place.

Yes, I know Jesus is my Lord and Savior. If more people truly followed Him, then this world would be a much better place. In the meantime, we are live as if the world is as it should be, to show it what it can be.

When Osiris is said to bring his believers eternal life in Egyptian Heaven we understand that as a myth.

Ancient people believed in eternal life, with the good going to the Elysian Fields and the not so good going to Hades, we understand that as a myth.

When Vespatian's spittle healed a blind man, we understand that as a myth.

When Apollonius of Tyana raised a girl from death, we understand that as a myth.

When Dionysus turned water into wine, we understand that as a myth. When Dionysus believers are filled with atay, the Spirit of God, we understand that as a myth.

So how come when Jesus is described as
the Son of God, born of a mortal woman, turning water into wine, raising the dead, and healing blind men and His believers got eternal life in Heaven and off to Hades—er, I mean Hell—for the non-belivers...Why is this real?

as paul said...i am persuaded.

Romans 8:37-39

37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

No and if the world was 90% Christian it won't be happy for the 10% who disagree with you...
