at the gas stations/truckstops, liquor stores, McDonald's for Christ sake wanting your money? When I took my lunch break I was at the drive thru at McDonald's & this guy asks for a dollar, I was feeling nice and gave him 50 cents. And sat out front to eat my lunch from the nice scenery of prostitutes trying to flag down truck drivers and just about when I was fixing to smoke he comes to my car like "Ma'am?" I looked at him and said quite a few curse words and "I'm gone!" I don't guess he realized that he had just asked me. I would buy a homeless person a meal but I would give rather give a bum money that read "I need money for beer" than work for food - at least it would be honest!

A little compassion? They are going out to buy crack! I'm no saint. I can see it in their eyes. That would make me "contributing" to their use of illegal drugs. He's in front of McDonalds. Why don't he go in and get an application. The sign says "Now Hiring".

You people? What do you mean You people? I wish that the government gave to these people instead of giving to other countries but that is not my fault. I work a job to support me and my child. The right way - not harrassing people at a drive thru for a dollar.

a lot of these "bums" have mental problems. I know your thinking institutionalize them then but sometimes there just isn't room or family with money do so.
I lived in this town that had a mental hospital because of cutbacks they were forced to kick out over a hundred people, about 60% of them ended up on the streets. Not all of them drunks, some just want a good meal. The food they give at shelters is very bad often old and sometimes bug infested.
I agree they shouldn't harass people but their life ain't fun. Try to have a little compassion.
Seriously how likely are you to be hired with no contact number and no home. Some are looking for crack, absolutely, but you can't always tell, you would look a little rough to in thier shoes. And wefare? sorry hon need a home for that and 98% of renters won't rent to one on welfare!

They would not be out there begging for help if there was not a reason. You people vote to shut down medical hospitals and take care of 3/4 of the people on the streets. You vote for low income housing but not for better living for the homeless that you put on the street in the first place, Buy taking good jobs away from them in the first place. Half of them are Veterans from the Vite nam war. What the hell did your family's do for them what they got home. [ sorry we can't help you] But they where good enough to fight a war so you could walk around free.
So don't complain about these people being out there. you people put them there....

see i'm just not like that.. when I see a homeless person, I will give them a dollar if they ask and more if I have it.. don't judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes that's homeless on the street.. :) :) :)
