Baptism is only a public show of your faith. It is not necessary to salvation.

I believe we must be baptized to make a public show to people that we are born again christians. If we get baptised then i think it helps us in our walk with Jesus Christ, and then it can be a surety that we will enter into heaven when we die or when Jesus returns and raptures us.

No, you don't need to be baptized in order to enter Heaven.

particular, Catholics do have faith that ... that's yet differently of asserting that each and each Christian in the international believed that from the time of Christ till some hundred years in the past, while the unbiblical custom of Protestantism began, starting to be hundreds of unauthorized conflicting manmade church homes that exist in open defiance of the stated will of Christ "that all of them could be ONE", rejecting lots of the ideals and practices that anybody Christians had popular for the previous one million,500 years. particular, the Bible does say that possible be reborn by way of WATER to flow into heaven - so why do Protestants deny that baptism is needed for salvation? Baptism ingredients the 1st coming of the Holy Spirit. it extremely is to non secular life as delivery is to organic and organic life. that's why Christ known because it "rebirth".

...Jesus has accomplished a complete salvation for us who believe - it is all that's required for Heaven - by grace through faith, we must trust in Jesus alone for salvation.
...Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast."
...We must trust in Jesus alone for salvation.
...Water baptism is an act of obedience; it is to be sought after one has become saved.
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved. Acts 16:31
...To Kenny P - Let's look at all of Mark 16:16 together, which says:
...He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
...It is your privilege to base your doctrine on one passage - but you should diligently compare Scripture with Scripture - you need to examine them all, and ask yourself - what can I add to Christ's complete salvation? The answer is nothing - remember, He said, "It is finished" meaning He paid in full for it all. To suggest that I can add baptism or any other works to my salvation is a tremendous insult to God - salvation is of the Lord.
...Also ask yourself -
1. suppose one believes and dies before he can be baptized in water - will God keep him out of Heaven?
2. What happened to the thief on the cross - Jesus told him he would be in paradise with Him that day - how could he have been baptized?

I f a person accepts Christ into their hearts and they are hit by a car five minutes later they will go to heaven. I have a friend who believes this and I challenge him with that everytime he brings it up and he always says well God allows for that. I say no God wants you to be baptised but he isn't going to send you to hell because you don't. It is a public announcement of your faith.

I'm told that when you are baptized that washes away all of your sins, and fill you with God's holy spirit and you're going to most definately need his spirit to enter into heaven with him

What's really amazing is how little people know about their own baptism, or the arguments for infant baptism, for that matter. Yes, I know that baptism isn't a requirement for entrance into heaven, but there's much more to it than that.

The Bible say

He that believeth and BE BAPTISED shall be saved"

I think that is Mark 16:16

anyway......that seems pretty durn clear to me

it does NOT say..." He that believeth and is saved shall be baptised"

to CARSON 123.....You do have those verses right......however, you have to complete ALL the steps that God requires of us to be a complete Christian. They are all not listed together in one single chapter

correct...but it is commanded...unless you refer to baptism of the holy spirit , that is required to enter the kingdom of heaven

Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
