Computers usually have:

1) S-Video out
2) VGA out
3) DVI out
4) HDMI out (but very rare)

Most TV's today have S-Video in, some have VGA and DVI in, and almost all HDTV's have HDMI in.

If you have S-Video, you can use an S-Video cable to connect to your TV. If you have VGA, you can do the same. DVI and HDMI can also be used and additionally, there are adapters between the two (meaning that if your computer has DVI or even mini-DVI, you can get an adapter that changes from DVI to HDMI and then use a cable to connect to the TV).

to connect to a tv your computer need video outputs
some have the yellow output
some have an S-video I know my laptop does
Some video cards have DVI or a DVI to Component converter( those are the Red Greeen and Blue video cables
Some others use a PC/VGA/15pin cable but your tv will need to have this to.

I have never seen a TV connected to a computer via a USB. Some TVs have usb ports but I don't think that is what you use them for

Good Luck

As far as I know the only way to do that is through a VGA connection. And I think you need to have a LCD TV.
