anyone recognize what blood line this dog is? Looking for a dog that looks very similiar to this dog in southeaster lower michigan;
i.e. Flint, Grand Blanc, Brighton, Lansing areas

Personally I think the breed is very dangerous. I have worked with quite a few of them and their temperament can change with a snap of a finger. Play can turn into an attack.
Back, way back, they used to be seen with the Buster Brown kids show and shoes. But the American breeders have ruined the breed. Just as they have many other breeds. Look at the German Sheppard's, Doberman Pincher and how they compare to their German bred cousins. We are producing substandard dogs here in the US.
The Pit Bull or Staffedshire Terrier are one and the same and here in the states most of the people who breed them breed for prestige of having a dog lunging way ahead of them with these huge chains. Here in New Mexico we call them 'Punks'.
They are one of the breeds that are agitated while pregnant so that the puppies will be born with attitudes included. Once in a while you will find a competent breeder who is very selective as to where the pups are placed when sold.
Please, try to find a breed that is not so dangerous. I have been chewed by two different ones and both times I showed no intent but bitten anyway.
A running child may become prey, a bicyclist, jogger and sometimes one is bit just cause the dog saw you.

That is absolutely a pit bull, and i also live in mid michigan. I don't know of any breeders. But try looking in your local shelters. Pit bulls are obviously not banned around here. And there are some shelters that put pit bulls down so they can't get adopted. But the Genesee County Humane society gets a lot of pit bulls in, and they will adopt them out. Also try places like last chance rescue and Adopt-A-Pet. They will have puppies and adult pit bulls. But as for breeders, my friend got one from flint by looking in the paper. It will obviously not be the best quality, but her dog Diablo looked a lot like that, but had a black nose. You could also try asking friends if they know of any pit bull breeders, look online. And ask vet offices if they know of any GOOD pit bull breeders. And when you find a breeder, take a look at the parents, best bet is the pups will look like their parents when they get older. Good Luck, i will soon be looking for a pit bull too, once i get a house.

Look, a pit bull is a pit bull. Go to a shelter and find one that looks appealing to you. Shelters are full of pits because nobody wants them due to their reputation. Just understand that they are difficult dogs, and expect a hard time from the shelter staff because they are always anxious about people wanting them for the wrong reasons. Dress nicely, act professionally, and follw their advice.

I'm not against Pits, I'm against ignorant people that give Pits a bad name. I doubt anyone on here is going to tell you anything other then to go to shelter or www.petfinder.com

Maybe razor edge/or goddy bloodlines?
Sort of favors both to me he might be mixes with red nose with the choices above.
Body shaped like red nose/head favors raizers edge snout.

I don't know of any in your area but some pit bull breeders will ship. Try high roller kennels in Las Vegas.

pitbuls are band but they are very prettty and smart dogs . i miss mine alot good luck . dont forget to take care of him well :)
