I guess that you are the one to determine the type of relationship you guys have nowadays. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable giving a present to an ex in Christmas after breaking-up (8 months ago). I know you guys are still friends, and that's cool. But do you still have feelings for her... or does she still have feelings for you??? If either you or her do have feelings for the other one, then NO gifts whatsoever...It is simply TOO EASY to confuse things around, especially around this time of the year. Too many feelings and emotions going on! Good Luck... Think about it over your pillow!

If you don't plan on seeing her that day there is no reason for a gift. If she gives you a gift say thank you and leave it at that (If you truly don't want to give her the wrong idea) A freindly call on Christmas day to say Happy Holidays to her and family should be fine.

I really don't think you should buy her a gift. The fact that you're not sure tells the whole tale, to me anyway. You may create a lot of "weirdness" and that's not too cool. Just say Merry Christmas! Good luck.

I think you should buy her a gift if you really want to or see something you think she would really like. You can always let he know by talking to her that it is just a friendly gift.

If you are determined to get her a gift, an innocent present would be a gift certificate to a store. I would not get her a restaurant certificate because she might think you want her to invite you as a date.

If you are friends, I think it would be ok....just make sure that she knows it is "just friends" Just say this is a little something for being my friend.......It's better to give than to receive.
