I think you just address it as "santa clause-north pole" and mail it. I saw a special on this situation once and I heard that like, 1/3 of each year's holiday mail goes to Santa. I don't know what happens after that.

Enclose the letter with another letter, the one you would like to come back from 'santa.' If you address the envelope to your daughter and put the stamps on it, the postmaster will cancel the envelope in SC, Indiana and mail it back to you.

Address it to Santa Claus North Pole put a stamp on it and mail it out. It will go to the post office and they will mail it back to you.

In some places one fun way to deliver a letter to Santa is to write it and then burn it. Northern Europe tradition says that the smoke will form the letter again once it reaches the Northern Pole.
