I have a friend who really likes me. She is always dropping little hints that she wants us to be togther like, "when are we going to get together?" I keep coming up with reason that I don't want to date her ie. she is only a friend, I am not ready for a relationship, I have a lot on my mind etc... My last attempt was to tell her that I like blondes with short hair, she has really long brunette hair. Well she came over last night with newly cut and dyed short blonde hair. So my question is, how do I get it through to her that I do NOT want to date her? Should I just end the friendship? Or, what else can I get her to do to herself to make me want her?

Tell her that you do not want to date because it would ruin a friendship..if that does not work...I would not even consider her a friend, apparently she does not care about you that much,,,and cares only about herself....Break off ALL contact with her...and after a while, it will sink in.

Just tell her that you value your friendship with her too much to possibly ruin it by having that kind of relationship with her cuz if it doesnt work out then it might mess things up between yall. Then if she cant respect that then maybe she isnt that good of a friend too being with. Just be honest and tell her the truth.

it may be hard, but you need to tell her that you just aren't ready for a relationship. tell her that you value this friendship more than a short lived romance, and she might just understand that you don't really want to be together. however, if this works, don't start dating someone else 3 days later. wait at least 3 weeks.

Tell her straight out that you don't like her. Don't keep her hoping that one day you'll whisk her away and be in love. I liked this guy, I told him all the time and he started screwing my best friend and telling her all the things I told him and made me sound like a stalker. That would work if you want to end the friendship!

I would just tell her you don't want to date her. Stop making excuses and tell her the truth, if she can't handle it then it's her fault not yours, but she is obviosly obsessed about you and trying to change herself for you.... I wouldn't date anyone who didn't know who they were before had. My husband didn't like blondes and that's what I am and I never changed

Just tell her flat out that you never see yourself dating her , because you are not attracted to her. If that doesn't work, time to end the "friendship."

sit her down and TELL HER
I DO NOT WANT A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU
you dont need to give her a reason
you shouldnt have to give a reason why you dont like her, you just dont like her that way. tell her to get over it because it IS compromising the friendship. if she cant get over it i would say that you should end the friendship
