That sounds like a jealous boyfriend with a very high tendency to become abusive.
PS: Don't EVER let a guy hang out with his Ex. Especially if you're not comfortable about it.
Personally, all of my Ex's are still in love with me ( I refuse to maintain communications with them)
But I know I can get them to do anything I want. trust! and this is coming from an expert.

I'd tell him to calm down and get off his high horse. If you let him hang out with his ex girlfriends, then he shouldn't have a problem with you talking to your guy friends. maybe he's not worth your trouble, especially if he spends that much time with his ex gf's. I wouldn't let him do that or tell him that you don't like it and see how he reacts. If he doesn't like it then tell him he shouldn't get mad when you talk to your guy friends.
