AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! I work in dog rescue and I am not kidding, every freakin' chocolate lab is named Hershey, Cocoa, or Mocha!!!! Please no Buddy, Bailey, or Riley either!!!
Please think of something more original! How about Godiva for a girl? or Levi for a boy? Nestle? Chip? Ducati? Bon Bon? Lindt?
here is a link for names! Good luck!

Both are way too common in Labs in my opinion. But if you don't mind common, Cocoa is better for a female while Hershey is better for a male. Mocha is another choice, that my Lab's mothers name. Better yet, here's a list of good names for Labs that are none of the common ones:

Don't name it Cocoa, Hershey or anything else obvious.... Name the dog a name that fits his (her) personality....

Don't you dare! Those are the most common names ever for a chocolate lab. Why do people name their pets based on their looks? I would go by its personality, get to know it for a day and then name it. Can you imagine if all humans were named based on looks? There would be a ton of "blondies" "ebonies" "hazels" "powders" "cocoas" etc around. yuck!

We named our dog Belle, because she came from Nashville, TN. The Belle of the South. We picked her up from the Northshore Animal League that helps save dogs from distressed situations and prevents them from being destroyed by finding good homes for them. Here are a few pics of her with the family.

We had a chocolate lab that passed away in August. He absolutely loved chocolate. (He passed away at 12 and half, and not due to eating chocolate). We have a yellow lab now but wanted to name him something having to do with our chocolate lab. Because of our chocolate labs love for chocolate we came up with Rhyss (like Reese...the peanut butter cup). Be creative..think hard about it. He or she will have to go through their life with this name. Go for it.

Use INNOCENT because there is already a chocolate called DREAM. Then the slogan could be : Innocent flavour, guilty taste. Why not have a shiny blue wrapper with the writing in silver.

Neither. We tried thinking of names for our black cat. After the first night with her the name came to me just by her behaviour and personality. Wasn't anything close to what we were thinking but certainly suits her.
