Technically, it's true, but it's nothing to worry about.
The amount of plastic that dissolves into the water is so ridiculously small as to be unimportant. There is probably a higher concentration of gold in your tap water than there is plastic in your bottled.

nopes it aint true
most of the bottles have "Best before warning" so dont buy older than that
what is harmful though is to use that bottle as ur water bottle and to refill and drink along
the plastic is recycled plastic not meant for long duration use..

I haven't heard of that one. I do know that there is a biodegradable bottle out there that is made out of corn and it will start to degrade in 6 months.
