Could I live without museums and galleries displaying sculpture, painting, and drawing? Yes, I could (although I'd prefer not to). But is that the same thing as living without art? I don't like to answer a question with a question but: what is art? Define it for me -- in a way that makes it possible to "remove" it -- and I'll tell you whether I can live without it.
The expression "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is apropos. I mean, what makes something art? A lot of people can walk into the Museum of Modern Art and appreciate the artistic beauty of what, to me, looks like a plain black piece of paper, or like something my neighbor's kid did in preschool. Is Graffiti an art form? Again, you're going to find a difference of opinion. Even assuming you can take away every obvious piece of artwork, I don't believe you can take away art. Art is perhaps as much (if not more) defined by how something is created and how it is perceived than by what that something is. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone answering here basically thought something along the lines of: "well, could I live without seeing another oil painting or sculpture? Sure, why not." I'm not so sure that everyone stopped to consider whether they could live without any form of music (assuming that was possible) either. Or any form of dance (again: not possible). Etc. There's art everywhere.
So: Living without art?
Can't be done.
Put that way, I don't think anyone could live without it.

I compare art to the beauty found in nature. When I see something in nature and try to understand it art is the way to present it allowing us to communicate with others. Whether it's emotions or something imagined it's all part of nature and what God has created. From the talent that he put in your hand to the thoughts provoked by someone pondering your creation it's a formidable way of expression. Without art we might as well be primates.

no. I love art and the many different ways artists express themselves. It can be inspiring, a reminder, painful, there is such a range of emotion expressed in art, without it I wouldn't be complete.

Yes. Art slaves us to another's conceptions. I think that life has greater meaning. To trap yourself in history only denies yourself of boundless expression.Expression unbounded is a personal struggle that should not be shared on a public basis. Our one and only term of existence is best utilized developing and progressing our understanding of the circumstances of our being.

Yes, it would be called a vegetated state. Since Art is all around us (Music, Dance, Painting, cooking). If you couldn't do any of that I guess you would be in a brain dead state.
