Oh, many of them probably are dating 20-somethings. But not all of them, and certainly not the ones you would want a relationship with anyways.
Do some volunteering and do it at places where you have a genunine interest. Never go somewhere or get involved in something just to meet men, or you start out on a false premise.
Then, even if you spend your time and do not meet someone for a relationship, you will never feel as if you have "wasted" your time, and you may even make some friendships out of it.
Make a list of things you care about, feel passionate about, and then contact a local agency to see what organizations match up with those where you can offer some of your time, talents and treasures. Any men volunteering there will be drawn to you because you will ooze magnetism while doing something you love. Don't panic if you don't see the men you are looking for there. You can't forget that your target men might be the brother or next door neighbor of the men or women you are working alongside. They may get to know you, and realize, "Hey, you are just perfect for someone I know. How would you like to come over to a party at my house next week and meet him?" While making the world a better place, you may inadvertently make your own little corner of the world a cozier place as well, and that's the very best possible outcome.

Try Yahoo personals, or other dating sites, like match.com....More and more people over 40 are finding dates online. I am 39...and I use online dating services...I live in a small town of 2500 people...and I have lived here most of my life...and I do not go to bars or night clubs, I do not drink....and meeting people online is fun, and you get to communicate with them and meet when and if you feel comfortable.

1st you need a lot of luck. Apparently the older we get the more of a rare thing I am (I'm 53). I'm not available but I know I've outlived some of my classmates from HS.

You need to seriously lower your expectations...at your age, be happy if one talks to you...you're way pass your prime. Single, intelligent, active men are looking for some young meat.
