Both me and the guy I am dating are really into fitness..we both had hardcore routines going but lately we have been working out together since our schedules are busy and it’s hard to find time to be together but the thing is…half way through the workout we just see each other all sweat and hot and we abandon the workout and head home. Is working out with your partner detrimental? Or is there a way to keep from being distracted while working out together?

Well from what you have said I take it that seeing your partner turns you on and when you head home you get "Busy". If this is the case you are still technically working out. Having sex is exercise, maybe you should try and come up with a plan where you both work out a couple of times a week together and then a couple of times a week by yourself.

I find that working out with my partner encourages me to work out harder and with more intensity and does not stifle my routine as I want to look good for them.

I would say in your case it would be best to find a female friend of your to work out with if you're most concerned about your workout. However, find a female friend you think is equally motivated as you or you might just end up chatting instead of working out. But hey, if the current "routine" you have is good for your relationship with your boyfriend, and you're both still satisfied with yourselves and your physical shape, have fun with it!

Yeah, it sounds like it distracts you from your workout
I think you should focus on IT rather than how hot & sweaty your guy is

what i think would be better is to work out with a friend. when you have your boy friend you will not pay to much attention to your work out and pay more attention to your boy friend.

To me it kills the romance. I would rather sweat and strain on my own.
