My younger sis and I are grown up so we should be old enough to stop having fights like the one we did last night. She had our TV on really loud and I asked her to turn it down or turn it off. She didn't do either so when I got up to do it she punched me in the face. It wasn't super hard, but I was pissed and really hurt at her lack of respect. Anyways with the holidays coming up I really don't want to buy her anything, but I don't want to ruin the holiday for the rest of the family either. What do I get her for Christmas?

I know you say that you don't want to buy your sister a Christmas present and if I truely believed that, then I would say, don't. Christmas is about doing what in your heart. I think if you don't get her anything you will regret that decision later in life and it's one you can never take back or fix. Don't do that to yourself and get her an extra nice gift to make up for the anger you feel towards her and it'll make you feel great. For now, just be the bigger person and enjoy shopping for someone that will be in your life forever.

Good idea to go ahead and get whatever you'd thought about getting for her before that blow up. Don't make that spat go any further. Not worth it.

Wait until Friday to buy her a gift. That way you'll both have time to cool off and you won't be tempted to get her something crappy or mean because you are mad.
