What is the advantages of this over a regular oven? I do own a toaster too so I don't get it. It says it will work as a conventional oven also. Why do they make these things? What do you do with them?

Advantages of a toaster oven...
1. heats up faster and uses less energy than a full sized oven.
2. easier to clean than a full sized oven.
3. can heat up pizza... microwaving gives it a soggy crust.
4. Toast bagels... unless you have a toaster that's wide enough to toast a sliced bagel.
5. Toast sandwich rolls (subs, hoagie, grinders rolls)... can't to that in a toaster.

I like toaster ovens for when you want to melt the cheese on top of an open faced sandwich and stuff like that. Better than heating up the ntire oven or broiler for just a little sandwich!
Basically stuff that is too small for the regular oven, but too big or too awkward for a toaster, or stuff that can't be toasted vertically.

Toaster ovens are nice when you want to make something, like a small pizza, only for one person. They can be used to make good bagel pizzas without heating up the house like an oven!

They're great when you want to cook a single serving item, such as a small pizza. Instead of using your regular oven for 20 minutes, you can cook it in the toaster oven, & use way less electricity. They're also great for toasting bagels or english muffins. You'll enjoy it!

It cook things just like a regular oven, only it not use as much energy. I had one years ago and used it for Frozen Dinners. Also, it great for baking small things like a Cornish Hen or Chicken Breasts.
