Oh, no. That couldn't possibly be the proper interpretation of those verses, because that would mean all those millions of nonjewish people aren't really Christians at all, but are impostors in Christ's church.

Although Jesus also said...

Mark: 7:25-27 In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an evil spirit came and fell at his feet. The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
"First let the children eat all they want," he told her, "for it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."

Matt. 10:5 "Go not into the way of the Gentiles"

Matt. 15:24 "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel"

John 4:22 "Salvation is of the Jews"

And yet believers proclaim the bible states racism and slavery are sins on far less evidence.

It's just another example showing you can interpret many bible verses as supporting your particular views while someone else can interpret those same verses to support a position that opposes yours.

P.S. army_redneck_daddy is right. Anyone with good judgement would refuse a billion dollar bill in trade for their car. Why? Because no government prints a billion dollar bill. No bank would cash or deposit. It would be totally counterfeit. Yes, it would indeed correctly be percieved as fake. So Jesus's gift is the same way then?

No, not at all-a "swine" in that they have no appreciation for spiritual things, and sharing spiritual things w/them would be futile and even detrimental on the part of the sharer, in that the unappreciative one would trample on spiritual things.

Now about the gentiles and how Jesus viewed them, Jesus spoke to any that would listen and also he healed all people.

A good example how Jesus demonstrated impartiality was when he spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well. First off Samaritans and Jews did not talk to each other; for reasons I won't go into, since that was not you question, and also at that time woman were viewed as a second class citizen by the Jews; not only did Jesus speak to her, but he also admits that he is in-fact the prophesied Messiah. Please note that this is the first time he confesses this openly. So this was indeed a privilege.

Remember Jesus is the head of the Christian congregation, so the Apostles were following his direction to preach to all nations. Acts 10:34,35: "...God is not partial...every nation...is acceptable to him."

He is just saying that some will not accept what we have to say. We should not argue or continue to share with those who do not to want listen.

Jesus in His ministry, went mostly to the Jews, as their Messiah, calling them to repent and return to God. If they would not listen, He would not argue, but accept their free will choice to disbelieve. He instructed His disciples not to go to Samaritan or Gentiles with the message, and to knock off the dust from their feet from the places of those who did not heed the call.

In Acts, written by Luke, we see that God expands the call to the gentiles through Paul, verified by Peter and the other apostles by the Holy Spirit and by Christ Himself. The call went out through all the world, and those who would come to believe it were included as His chosen people, under covenant of the blood of His Son.

We are still in this age of His mercy and grace, and it will end at a time that only God knows. Until then, the call continues. His Spirit is still given to those who believe, and there are still those who choose not to listen or believe.

Being too severe of others, magnifying their faults and choosing on them, is a severe offense. So Jesus asks: “how are you able to assert on your brother, ‘enable me to extract the straw out of your eye’; whilst, look! a rafter is on your individual eye? Hypocrite! First extract the rafter out of your individual eye, after which you will see for sure a thank you to extract the straw out of your brother’s eye.” this would not mean that Jesus’ disciples are to apply no discernment in connection with different individuals, for he says: “do no longer supply what's holy to canines, neither throw your pearls previously swine.” The truths from God’s observe are holy. they are like figurative pearls. yet whilst some persons, who're like canines or swine, tutor no appreciation for those priceless truths, Jesus’ disciples ought to go away those human beings and seek for out people who're extra receptive. Matthew 7:6

to recoup for some very rude "think they are" Christians, Jesus is commenting about the unreceptive. if i wanted to trade you a billion dollar bill for your car but you perceived it to be a fake there is no way i can get you to take it. does not matter how much i try you will not take the bill because you see it as counterfeit. Jesus gift is the same way. some are searching for it. others are searching for anything but the idea of heaven and hell and they are not in control. those are the ones that are considered to be unreceptive. don't matter what you tell them about heaven they will not believe because they think it is fake.

A true christian would never belittle or use condesinding remarks toward another person.
in all you do glorify God

Considering in the Great Commissioning, he specifically told his followers to go ONLY to the Jews, and not to go to the Gentiles... I'd say that's a fair interpretation.

Of course... what's 'St' Paul then do? Goes to teach, gets called a liar by the Jews, so shakes his garments (ummmm... pauly boy, didn't jesus say shake your FEET/SANDALS?) and then... goes off and teaches the Gentiles. Bravo, False Prophet.

And people actually claim this book is true... go figure.

This means to not continue preaching to someone who does not want to hear or listen or accept. To not shove the gospel down their throat, but to move on....casting a pearl before swine....the pearl is the gospel of Jesus Christ- He also tells us to "shake the dust from our feet and move on" for those who went from town to town preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, whoever did not accept them, they were to move on...this is what it means...just as is relevant today- for us who are saved, to share the truth in love then move on if one does not want to hear.

Luke 9:5
If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them."

I take everything in the bible literally, so I think it's a sin to give jewelry to swine.

if a person shows that he is like a dog or a swine, with no appreciation for spiritual things, one should not further endeavor to share spiritual thoughts and teachings with him. Such corrupt persons would only trample upon valuable spiritual things and abuse or injure anyone endeavoring to share these with them.
