If your hair was just turning red or brown,I would say if you have iron water that would be the answer, because iron water does that, but I don't know what could make your hair turn blonde, but some peoples hair changes because of weather changing, changes in humidity, etc.

Okay first off, STOP USING YOUR SHAMPOO! There are a hundred reasons why your hair could be turning color. First, if you repeatedly color your hair over and over, your hair color could be fading. That has to do with porosity, color shampoo can not help you there. If that is the case, you need to start using a demi permante color and using protein treatments to strengthen your hair. Another reason is if the shampoo came from a salon or a grocery store. Remember that shampoo you buy from Rite Aid, or your local grocery store may be FDA approved, but it is NOT salon approved. Even if you find salon brand products at your grocery store. Most places sell those illegally, and the products you find at your local store contain a hell of a lot of alcohol. Alcohol+your hair=bad news. Alcohol will also lighten your hair. Also, you mentioned you bought a shampoo that specifically does not lighten your hair, I have yet to find a good shampoo that says "Does not lighten hair". Color shampoos are generic, they work for all hair colors and do not darken nor lighten. Unless you bought a shampoo for blondes, but even then I doubt it would lighten you. Last thing, if you color your own hair this could be a reason your hair is fading. At home color is just like the shampoos at the grocery store. Plus it is a hairstylist NIGHTMARE! You are destroying your hair slowly. This is my suggestion, go to a real stylist at a good salon in your area. Let them color your hair, and buy the shampoo and conditioner they recommend. Remember you get what you pay for, so if you pay cheap you get cheap.

We need more information...for example, when you say your hair is normally black, is that your natural color or have you dyed it black from your natural color? Also, have you straightened or permed your hair lately? Straightening or perming can change even your natural haircolor. If you have dyed your hair black from a lighter color, there is almost no way to keep it from eventually fading...going from light to dark or dark to light is a very high maintenance proposition....I suggest you see a professional colorist...good luck!
