Think about it...

the earth's soil is fertile and allows plants to grow, to come up from the ground, and provide oxygen for us to breathe. without oxygen there is no life.

So why not worship the earth, why not call it "god" as it has given life to us all. At least the earth is tangible...you can touch it, feel it, know it will always be there.

Or is that too much of a "dirty hippy" philosophy for you all?

"Worship" is a strong word when what you mean is "respect". We ought to have respect for the thing that sustains us. For some reason, we don't. About that worshipping - look up Gaia on the Net. You'll find friends there.

Because the earth is the created, not the Creator. We should worship the One who created the earth.

"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:

who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever."

i don't worship anyone.i just respect it like we all should.i think it's cool, not hippie or dirty at all. i respect ur belief, it's what u believe in and it's nice. maybe u r lookin for smth tangible because u don't believe there can be somethin greater than everythin that doesn't want to stand out.
