Not to sound disrespectful, but the way you post your question: "i will present my body as a living sacrifice to the art of Taekwondo" sounds like you plan on letting other TKD practitioners use your body for target practice.

I've seen some pretty intense training for many martial arts and I wish I had the time/money to devote myself to such arts as Qi Gong or Shaolin. Anyone who has seen the true masters of these arts knows that they are among the deadliest in the world. The reason they don't get much respect from the MMA types is because A: there aren't many that are dedicated enough to truely master them, and B: Those that do master them don't compete in ego-driven competitions like UFC, Pride, K-1, etc.

So, if you truely intend to dedicate yourself to your art and join the likes of Jhoon Rhee, and Gen. Choi then you should be commended. However, what makes the true masters great is that they don't make statements. Their actions speak for themselves.

It's one thing to love to do martial arts, but that doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice your life to be able to practice it.

It is good that you found something you really like. Don't forget to live your life. That would be the best way to honor something you appreciate.
