one of my favorite things to do is decorate cookies! we loved doing that as children :) we would also take pine cones and decorate them as a christmas tree..all you need is glue and candy!! so much fun..oh yeah to add the whole tree feel-- just spray paint them green like a day ahead of time...it will be so much fun!! promise :) and you can help them make marshmallow snowmen..you need marshmallows of course ( different sizes ) and more candy...try licorice adn candy corn and even skittle..you could also do a coloring contest...get a christmas like picture and divide the kids up into age groups and have them color...winner gets a special prize! well hope these help! merry christmas :)

ps..you should have a christmas cartoon on while their activities are going on or maybe a childrens christmas cd...just a little something else to make it a little more festive for them!!

A gingerbread house made of graham crackers and a carton. Use the carton as a base and cover it with the crackers (glue on with canned icing) Then glue candies on the house to make a design, some windows, doors etc.
this is an easy version of a gingerbread house, but it is still messy. They can all do their own or work in pairs (maybe an older with a younger) It can be expensive, but try to buy the cheapest candy and icing and use a juice carton. That way you won't need as many supplies.
Buy off-brands too, the candy is really for decoration although they can eat a few pieces.
window painting (with washable stuff) if you have a big enough window where everyone can work. Or window clings.

Bake some sugar cookies, cut them out with Christmas cookie cutters and let the kids frost and decorate them. It'll make a bit of a mess, but they'll enjoy it and it'll keep them occupied for a while with frosting, decorating and eating.

Pin the tail on the reinder.
Crafts - making Christmtas cards, making "reindeer food" (mixing oats & glitter in a plastic bag - sprinkle on the lawn Christmas Eve so the reindeer can find your house), making pipe cleaner candy canes with red & white pipe cleaners and put beads on them, string jingle bells and beads on pipe cleaners to make necklaces or bracelets, decorate cookies with icing.
GOOD LUCK!

Video games are excellent baby sitters.

Cant they just play together? Why do they need occupied? We always just played together, we didnt have activities and games. Just some toys and the company of family and friends.

If able, allow them to make some decorations out of colored paper, scissors, glue sticks, markers, etc. This keeps them busy for awhile.
