Kind of, God had a plan already. Satan proposed an alternate plan in which their would be no free will (agency) and Satan wanted all of the Glory, but Jesus said he would do what the Father wanted, giving the Glory to the Father.
The argument that Jesus' brother is Satan is used a lot by people trying to defame Mormons. We believe all people are God's children, including you. This also makes you Jesus' brother, as well as Satan's brother.

I am a Latter-day Saint also. Good to meet you. PROS: All of these are superficial and secondary benefits. The primary benefit is having the influence of the Holy Ghost. Strong families, being happy, living fulfilled lives, eternal families, temple blessings, all of these are primary. The pros that you listed can apply to anyone. CONS: Members of EVERY religion can be sexist. That has no bearing on the Church itself. You will decide whether or not you personally will be. The Book of Mormon is a historical record translated by the power of God and confirmable through the Holy Spirit. It is not a Mormon version of Aesop's fables. Not believing the majority itself doesn't cause contention. Attitudes, not beliefs, determine contention. As a convert who joined when I was 19, I have served a mission and lived both sides. What matters when it comes to your relationship with the Lord and your faith is NOT what people online tell you, or people in person tell you. What matters is what you think and what the Lord thinks. Best wishes. :)

satan was the most beautiful angel loved by god. then god made man. God loved man more than he loved the Angel. or so it seemed to the Angel at least. Satan grew jealous like an older child will be jealous when a baby is born and he loses attention of parents. Satan rebels against god with the help of many angels. a great war was fought. God gave Jesus half of his power and Jesus dragged Satan to hell.

Yes, this is what Mormon doctrine explains. However, when they come to your door they will not say this nor will their commercials mention any of their doctrines and covenants.
Quick reference:
Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163.)
A plan of salvation was needed for the people of earth so Jesus offered a plan to the Father and Satan offered a plan to the father but Jesus' plan was accepted. In effect the Devil wanted to be the Savior of all Mankind and to "deny men their agency and to dethrone god." (Mormon Doctrine, page 193; Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, page 8.)
Hope this helps...

Sorta. LDS doctrine does teach that Jesus and Satan were children of God, just like you and me. However, God wasn't asking for how He should treat man. He was looking for a volunteer to be the Savior in His plan. Satan proposed a different plan that did away with our free agency and resulted in him getting the glory instead of God. He basically rebelled against God and many followed him in his rebellion. Thus, they were cast out of heaven and were not allowed to follow God's plan (ie mortality).

Well...you are sort of on the right path with your comments there...
We believe we all existed as spirits or "intelligences" before this life - yes that means EVERYONE even Satan and his followers, which would basically mean ALL of us Christ, Satan, you, me, EVERYONE are Gods spirit children.
God wanted us to come to the earth...Christ and Satan each had a plan...Satan wanted all the glory and Christ wanted the glory to be the Fathers. Satan rebelled and 1/3 of the spirits or intelligences or "hosts of heaven" followed him. They were cast out and were cursed to never receive a body. That was their punishment - part of it. So of course, Satan was mad and tries to tempt everyone to be lead away from our Heavenly Father - misery loves company you know.

Well, thats a good summation and it is a bad english and poor spelling way to say it.
but a better thing to read is the First Vision which Joseph Smith describes as talking Heavenly Father and Jesus, side by side.
by reading this testimony at the link below you will know a good deal more and why the church was formed.
Yes, the LDS/mormon church does teach that we are all brothers and sisters with the Lord Jesus. mainly because Jesus says that God is his god and our God, and his Father and our FATHER. and it is written elsewhere that God is the FATHER OF ALL Spirits.

We believe that everyone is spirituall children of God, so we're all (spiritually speaking) brothers and sisters - which would make them brothers just about as much as you and I are brother and sister (which obviously isn't very much).
The rest of the story you pretty much got right.
