My boyfriends son is 11 and I have a 10 yr old daught. His son doesn't want us to have any children, and my daught. does. I am 10 weeks pregnant and my daught. knows, but his son doesn't. He is very persistant he wants to be an only child. How do we tell him we are expecting?

let his dad explain to him that he loves u and you decided together to have a baby. that it does NOT mean he will be loved any less and that in a way since he has your daughter in his live he really isn't an only child and that bottom line it is not HIS decission. tell him you are pregnant and you would really like to be able to count on his help with raising the baby, since they are so vulnerable and could use the " protection" only an older brother can give

just explain that there will be another child in the house soon. just remember you and your boyfriend rule the house. not your children . let him know he doesnt have the say on everything that goes on in the house. good luck to you

Bluntly, it's not his choice. Sounds like he'll be upset, but sit him down and tell him. Were he my kid I'd punish him when he blew his top about it. You're the adult, it's your choice if you have more kids.
