We always get our Labrador Retriever a present. We also alway put a bow on her head to drive her nuts for a while.

I dont go as far as wrapping them or anything like that. If you always put up stockings then adding one for the dog is cool. No biggie.
They need things just like we need things so getting them some extra bones and chew toys is totally normal. F-what the fam says. I am inthe same boat, have 2 dogs and no kids and they are like my babies,

Yes, completely normal!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am married and have a child and i still buy my Dog (Airedale terrier) and my cat stocking stuffers. Its never alot, this year i got my dog this giant bone, and a thing of scooby snacks. And my cat some mice and kitty treats. Let them pick on you, when people in my family say something, i just tell them how sorry i feel for their little babies(dogs) that they must not love them enough to do anything for them. hehehehe. And then i start petting them and saying "poor baby your momma doesn't love you does she."

My boyfriend and I don't have any children and our dog is like our child...a very important part of our family (pack)...We are getting him all kinds of treats, a new bed, and lots of his favorite toys and bones...and his grandparents and uncle (my parents and brother) are getting him gifts for when we exchange presents at their home. It is completly normal...you don't want to forget members of your family for christmas.

I can usually count on my in-laws to shower the dog with gifts for Christmas, so I don't have to worry about it. When we get "gifts" for the dog we usually replace her toys she's mutilated beyond recognition or hit the "snack bar" at our local Petco.

Oh my lord, YES!!!!! They are getting new beds, new winter coats, bones, treats, new balls, new blankets for their beds, etc. Everyone in my family will give them gifts too ( we don't have children either.) Also, I will be buying gifts for at least 6 doggie cousins and friends. We also make donations to less fortunate dogs at this time of year.

Of course I am! My parents and grandma will probably get him one too. My rabbits will get presents from me and my parents also. Everyone in my family gets presents for all the dogs in the entire family every year just as they would any other family member
