From a Question by Justin: Christ was 100% man and 100% divine. Christ is the second person of the Holy Trinity. God (the Son). thus since Mary gave birth to him and raised him...this would make her the mother of God. not the mother of the Father...but of the Son (both God)?

Right?

I would say, yes, the mother of Jesus (God in the flesh), but not the creator of God. Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM", referring to his divine eternal state even before being born of Mary. But , Mary was definately Jesus's mother, and Jesus had here genes I believe.

Right and wrong. Mary is the mother of the human form of God which is Jesus Christ. But is not the mother of God who was not created, but has always been.

Mary was the willing vessel to carry the Christ child and to raise him to a man.

If Christ contained her DNA, we just do not know. We do know that Jesus Christ was fully man and fully God. How this was done is left to our own imaginations.

We do know that we can implant a fertilized egg into a woman and she can give birth to a child that is not her own flesh. She could still raise this child and be 100 percent its mother. And , yes, we can implant this same fertilized egg into the womb of a virgin woman and get the same results. Sex is not needed to carry and give birth to a child.

Jesus is the Son of God and the Son of Man.

Mary was chosen because of her great faith in the living God. No doubts in her heart and that God's will be done, not hers...she was willing to submit her will to God.

Think about it, she was 14-15 years old, single (engaged) and pregnant in a time that women were stoned if the elders or villagers thought she was committing adultery. To top it off, she was still a virgin. WOW, what faith she had!

She did what God asked of her without hesitation knowing He would protect and provide for her. That's a lesson we could all stand to learn from :o)

God has no mother. Jesus is the son of Jehovah God. and Mary is his mother and Joseph is him stepfather. no place in the bible does it say how old Mary was when she was having Jesus Christ.

Mary is the mother of the Son of God.

Can a human be higher than God?

The worship of Cybele and Artemis was replaced by the worship of Mary the “God-bearer” or the “mother of god.” Pagan teaching....

No, but there is still debate about this. Mary was an incubator not the mother of God, her blood supplied the life, But the egg was by faith not from her and the Bible says the Father was the Holy Spirit, and if the Holy spirit and the father are not exactly the same then Jesus had two fathers, because the Bible says both the Father and the Holy Ghost are the father of Jesus; Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
The son was not 100% God the father because he didn't know everything until after he died, he did not know who was to sit on his left and right in Heaven; Matthew 20:23
And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.Mark 10:40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
