if you can find a shallow water, that gets plenty of bait going in, then yes. but steer clear of deep pits and lakes, i've caught carp after breaking the ice, look for shallow water when the suns out. good luck and hope you catch a p.b

What's worth braving winter weather is the fishing itself. But who wants to eat carp?

Yes, without a shadow of a doubt. Every carp Ive caught has battled proper hard and never given up! Its an awesome feeling when you finally land it, whatever the size.
I'd go carp fishing in a snowstorm if I could!

I must say there are a lot of people who hate carp out there. My mother used to can carp and then cook it up like salmon patties. You couldn't tell the difference.
Of course now, with all the chemicals washing into the water from the fields, there are advisories out. Only the small carp are really good eaters.

carp gives a nice battle when you hooked one and it is still good to fish for carp in the winter; you just need the right bait. try CORN. corn alway work cause carps have a good sense of smell. even a yellow crappie jig work.

Carp are rather thrilling to seize and they strengthen to massive length. 2 bait ideas for ya - corn on a small hook or they make carp powerbait that you'll purchase. Fish for them maximum each and every time, they cruise day and evening. perfect hours are likely 6-11 pm from my adventure.

Are you gonna feed them to your cats? Carp are nasty man. I wouldn't intentionally fish for one if you paid me.
