what does a guy mean when he loved a girl for 7 months(on n off relationship) and now he told the girl's friend that he still like the girl but he don't want to tell her(as in say it out).He told the girl's friend that he feels that it is better to love a person in his heart than to be together. he would only tell her when the time is ripe. so...my qn is,what does he really mean by doing that? and..why did he prefer to do it this way than to tell her when the girl's friend said that she is still interested in him...?

I don't think he knows what love is if he claims to love someone on and off during a seven month period. Love is such a powerful emotion that doesn't come and go, particularly in such a short amount of time. Perhaps he is discovering that while he may have feelings for this girl, he may be realizing that it may not be real love, but something almost as good. He should not be pressured and instead he should be able to explore with his heart and soul as to his true emotions.

This guy could be afraid to tell the girl he has been in a on and off relationship with that he really likes and feels that she might reject him again, rejection is one of the things that guys hate, If he waits to long to tell her it might be too late for him If she does not have a boyfriend by then. He felt that by telling the friend that the friend is trustworthy and that is someone he could confide in, Although as I said this plan won't work too long because he did not tell her himself, she might understand him more if it came from him instead of the friend. He just needs to face his fear and realize that is the way to go if wants that girl or any girl he chooses to have a relationship with. He might be having other issues that might keeping him from asking the girl out if that is what his plan is. But either way he won't know what her answer is until he tries.

he may just be afraid to tell the girl because of how their relationship was. If he got hurt by them being together, he may feel like it's better for him to love her and not be with her. I'm not sure why he would tell the girl's friend, unless he felt comfortable that she wouldn't tell her friend. He may have wanted her friend to tell him if the girl still liked him. sounds like he's a little on the confused side about how he really feels, if he loves the girl and won't tell her but tells her friend.

It means he's not into her anymore but doesn't have the backbone to tell her to her face. He's saying it's better to love someone in his heart so that he'll be able to come back and pick things up where they left off whenever he feels like it.

when people get too close, conflict may arise between them. some things are better off admired from afar, hence keeping a certain distance can maintain its beautiful view.
hence i suppose the guy hopes to remain the good current relationship with the girl, and is afraid anything that may sour it.

He's playing games. If he still loved the girl he'd still be with her. It sounds like he just has her on the backburner in case something else doesn't work out or he just wants to keep her on a lease for when he get's lonely.
He doesn't love her. Move on, because he's going to continue to confuse you.
