if it's really german it's made up. otherwise it could be a mix slang word perhaps from Italian influence along the southern Austrian or Swiss border.
german words do not "usually" end in 'o' or the o sound. Perhaps it's a city or last name that has been switched about in slang to mean something else, more than likely negitive. Kind of like calling someone a maynard when they are really idiotic. Thanks Doby Gillis.

It doesn't sound even remotely Germanic. Are you sure that's from the same family of languages, even? I speak German, Norwegian and English and I cannot think of a word that sounds like that.
Is your friend fluent, or is it possible they are mangling a word and making it impossible to interpret?

I speak German, but I am not aware of any German word that sounds similar. Are you sure you heard it right, and it's really German?

Emo potential emotional... there is an stereotype obtainable that emo young ones cut back themselves, cry lots, hates their lives, placed on black, dye their hair, consistently placed on tight skinny denims, placed on lotzzz of make up and only pay attention to hint from bands like Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic! on the Disco, and comparable... yet NO! the stereotype isn't THAT authentic, there are some who're like that and there are some who are not. Take it from an experienced emo: no longer all emos cut back themselves, no longer all emos placed on only black, no longer all emos even seem emo.. that's basically a feeling you get interior, and deep interior everybody is emo. with regard to the music element... umm.. all of them kinda agree on an analogous. BTW! My Chemical Romance is the ideal band ever!!!!! and that they are not emo... neither are those I indexed, they hate it whilst they're referred to as emo. Emo = stereotype like Prep, Nerd, Ghetto, and so on.... only that "emo" could be much less generalizated.
