No. Most of us have common sense. You have two children who need you and don't need you in a constant state of grieving over something you have no control over. Focus on the life you have with them and make the best of it while you have the chance. All you will do with your attitude is create depression in them.
Life is to be celebrated not constantly mourned over.

It is easy to forget about the underpriveledged in the world especially when we don't actually see them. There will always be sadness in the world, that's life. It teaches us valuable lessons. We will never be able to help every person who needs it. Most people feel helpless, like there is nothing we can do. Which I know for me financially, I can't help. I am trying to keep my own family afloat. I do feel sad however and donate food to food banks and buy extra toys at Christmas for toy drives. It is sick that people would intentionally harm a child. If they are caught they should be punished severely. We should all look out for these children because in most cases they can't help themselves and need help. It is also sad to see kids and any human hungry and hurt. But like I said, I do what I can and that is all I can do. Of course I feel sad for kids that have no parents and kids that would be better off without their parents. But lets face it, life is not perfect for anyone, we all have obstacles in life. It does scare me to think about what the planet will be like for my kids and grandkids in the future. But you also never know when a huge asteroid could hit. I mean if you wanted to, there will always be something to worry about in life. But is that how you want to spend your life? There is a lot of bad in the world, but there is also lots of good too. We are here for a good time, not a longtime. So have a good time, the sun can't shine everyday, just like the song says. Cheer Up! I agree you need to focus on life with your girls. Do your part to make the world a better place for them. Am I struggling with this? No, but if you are you may need to talk to a professional if it is affecting your life.

If you cannot find peace within yourself, you will never find it anywhere else”
Marvin Gaye
“Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.”
Carl Gustav Jung
The Soul of the World is nourished by people's happiness. And also by unhappiness, envy, and jealousy. To realize one's Personal Legend is a person's only real obligation. All things are one. And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
Paulo Coelho

CONSTANTLY. You have to lead by example. If you are doing everything in your power to be a good human being, to end suffering, to help the planet, then that is literally all you can do. No one can change the world in a day, but you have to do what you can: let your kids know that they are loved, teach them to be strong and love themselves, recycle, eat well, pick up a piece of trash if you see it in your path. One big way I cope is to do one good deed a day. This can be big or small-- as long as you do it! Give someone directions if they're lost; give a dollar to a homeless person, pick up a piece of trash, walk somewhere if you don't have to drive, etc. You have to bear in mind that there can be no beauty without ugliness; there can be no light without dark; there can be no life without death. in accepting this--and rejoicing in it, I promise you will find peace.
"Be the change you wish to see in the world." ~ Gandhi
"We can do no great things-- only small things with great love." ~ Mother Theresa

You need to focus on your little girls and less on the world.
We can't do anything much for the whole world, we have to start with our own world first. You sound like your getting the blues. Find a place that has the bulbs like sunshine you need to lift your spirits. This is the season of light and love!!

My advice to you is to try and change the world one person at a time. You're not Jesus, and nieither am I. All we can do is try to chage our little part of the world by helping someone else who resides in it.
