This is a very personal choice, I would never do such. However, many women do have this procedure. you should talk to your doctor and weigh out the risks and benefits before hand. And also do some Internet research. And maybe even consider your husband having a vasectomy, I believe the procedure for him is less painful. Good luck and God bless****

I think this is a good idea. If you want to be able to give your kid everything he wants he will need to be an only child. Usually with 2 or more kids, if one kid gets something then the others want something. Also, since you and your husband agree then you should not worry because you both are happy with the decision. Lastly, If you are going through school, you are going to want to finish and get a firm started or at least a good job, without having kids or gettin pregnant while in the process. While you are a lawyer it is very hard to take maternity leave because your money and reputation comes from your cases..and you can not have cases with a newborn

sweetie, i am 23. and i have 2 lil beautiful girls, 2 & 1. me and my husband do not have alot of money, and our girls dont go without. i was worried because i knew we didnt have means to be having a second child but when she came it was like she had been there all along. and i didnt THINK i wanted anymore, and he did, but he said its my decison. and i went ahead and did it anyway. now in the upcoming year, we have to come out of pocket and pay 10,000.00 to get it reversed! i realized i made a mistake. i had thought the same thing as you, no money, and you wanted your child to have the best of life, and everything he wanted. im here to tell you i was an only child and i hated it so much. i had nobody my age to play with or talk t, it was always me daddy and mommy! and thats not a good thing. im just saying really think about it, and talk it through with your man, and maybe compromise bout using birth control or condom until you are completely sure!
good luck and god bless

i think that if that's what you think is right then go for it. i have a son myself and i am not doing that because yeah right now i don't want any more kids but you have to think about the future too. if you for any reason break up with your baby's daddy then you will have to start another family and maybe you'll then want to have more kids

My advice would to have your husband get a vascetamy. If by chance you two decide to have more kids, it more than likely can be re-attached. If you get your tube tied, your done. Besides, a vascetamy is much safer and less painful
