I say yes, but something small. It is a therapist they may read too much into it and say that you gave a gift because your mother didn't hug you enough.

If your therapist has helped you sort out your problems then yes, it is a nice way to let her/him know that you are thankful. Something small but elegant should do. A box of chocolates, a small bouquet of flowers. Whatever you give, also make sure to give a card that says something along the lines of "This is a token of my appreciation for all your help. I couldn't have done it without you."
That's a really thoughtful gesture.

I would say no- doctors and therapists don't expect them, and likely might feel awkard about accepting a gift from a patient. A holiday card with a personal greeting and a "thanks for your help/assistance throughout the year" should be sufficient.
