atheist and the religious? It seems like a wasted argument since there is no way to back up your claim on either side 100%

It could be a good idea however it is also impossible. One of the most important points of religion is to spread the religion. Therefore when atheists are being wittnessed to they will retalitate. Thus the cycle or the "fighting" will never end no matter what.

Quite true. Live and let live.I believe in God and my religion and have gone into message boards (my own religion) and the same people of my religion are divided on certain points and viciously
argue amongst themseves. Name calling, sarcastic, and very insulting. I've gotton insulted by people in my own religion. They're
mainly University educated and think they are an authority on
everything. Nobody else knows anything. Some claim to be
Theologians. I never thought one took a course like that to go on a message board to being insuting and sarcastic. One person was a bigot and used vulgar language and name calling if you said something he disagreed with. You could go in there three years later and the same people would be there arguing about the same things. Nothing positive. I wouldn't go in there again.

If you're going to be technical about it, no one can back up any claim 100%, except if they're claiming their own existence. Everything else is unprovable. If you consider that a reason to stop searching for the truth, then I pity you.

You are incorrect. The side that is required to back up thier argument is the side that proposes that there is a god. The side that does not propose such a thing is not requried to prove there is none. Think about it. Do you feel the need to prove that dragons don't exist? Do you feel its required of you to prove that mermiads don't exist? Leprechauns? Unicorns? The Ancient Sun God, "RA"? Things that cannot be proven to exist, don't exist. Period. Thats all that's required. If you propose that something exists the burden of proof is upon you, not everyone else to prove otherwise. See the difference?

So, whatever people make up your willing to say, "Yeah, I'll go along with what you claim".

Problem is, people expect to have their little made up God(s)obeyed... you know, wear these clothes, say these prayers, don't eat these foods, don't watch these movies, kill these comedians, burn these villages, don't work on these days, etc., etc.

Sounds like you have no theology, so you must be an atheist. At least you've see all the fiction. Good for you.

God, might be unprovable to you and others, but He is not unprovable to many. Try and tell this to the Muslims, Jews and Christians; you'll be cursed to go to hell by the Jews and Christians, and you'll be blown up by the Muslims..

Wrong.
We atheists can state to a 100% certainty that god does not exist.
You on the other hand, MUST demonstrate one single shred of credible evidence that supports the existence of this magic sky-pixie, in order to show that he does.
And since NO one has ever provided such evidence, EVER, you lose the argument off the hop.

God is provable. Read Aquinas' 5 proofs of God. They are simplistic but very deep. 1. Unmoved Mover 2. First Cause 3. Intelligent Design. I can't recall the other two.

I sure wouldn't want to be the one to get rid of religion, we'd REALLY be screwed up if there was nothing for people to believe in.
In a perfect world, it wouldn't matter and everyone would get along.

True. But, people like to argue, instead of just express their opinion and others respect what they think is true.
