Chances are it is not. If you go to http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks.php?select=Cyberhome+CH-DVD+300 type in your make and model number and hit search. The first two hacks posted for my machine did not work. The third one did, so do read them all! My machine is now region 0 and plays all DVD's in glorious colour. Good luck

i think all dvd players can be made to be multi region. you just need the instructions on how to do it. there used to be a guy on e bay who mailed you them for a small consideration. what make and model number is it?

try a dvd from another region besides from where you bought the DVD player, also they specify it in the manual....
