You should stop worrying about what others think of you. Obviously, your bf (fiance') has accepted you for who you are and what you look like. Therefore, who gives a damn what the parents think. Be pleasant and friendly, then they don't have a reason to dislike you.

If the people in this world would just stop worrying about what others think of them, half the problems in life would vanish.

As for the regular method of losing weight, you do cardio exercises and maintain a proper low fat balanced diet. Any cardio exercise which raises your heart rate between 60 and 80% of your peak heart rate for a minimum of 30 minutes a day while consuming less calories than you burn will benefit your goal.

I have been on a low carb diet for 6 month now- just 2 scrambled eggs in the morning-or a soy protien shake. Then a salad of thin sliced turkey and lowfat cheese, iceburglettuce and dressing for lunch. Veges and a small piece of meat at dinner. At first it was hard, but I lost 6 lbs the first week as all your water drops off. Try it out. I am also walking on t-th. and jazzercise m-w-f but that can come later- Lost 38 lbs and feel great. By the way, I'm the same height and was up to 200lbs and hated myself! I am now in teen size 10 pants and am almost my old self. The initial weight lose made me feel good and look good and the diet was great for my skin. Dress classy and watch what you eat- even if you don't lose or don't need too, you will feel better having that 2 months of health "under your belt" -or not under you belt-right? Besides- your sweetie will chase you more- mine does! Good luck and congrats!
PS- you might try a wrap. I did a series of 3 (you can get deals) and it was great on my skinand i lost INCHES!- they will even do up to under your neck)

Ok. I know the routine. You'll crash diet, lose some weight. You'll get married and within 2 months you'll gain twice that back. Woe to the man who you are about to marry. He'll have to think about Pam Anderson to get it up.

You should look for a new life style, not a crash diet.

Be yourself. Have your appearance be clean, neat and tidy. You want to let then see the real you, one your best behaviour and I am sure things will go well.
