They can be as cheap as $15 and as much as $300. As others have mentioned, you get what you pay for. I paid $100 for a Solano Sapphire Ceramic Iron because it is was the industry standard at the time. It's always worked very well on my ramen noodle-wavy hair.

well it depends where you get it . flat irons could be as cheap as 20 dollars but they can be small and idk if they give you the results you want but u could try it i mean they work pretty good for me. the more expensive ones can go anywhere from 50-100 dollars are good and more likely to give you the results u want. do not go over 100 dollars because that would be a rip off

you can get them in every range... but remember that you do get what you pay for. I think I probably spent 40ish for mine a year ago, and I already need a new one. Plus, it never did work as well as I'd hoped. I HIGHLY recommend a CHI. They are amazing! But you'll pay around 100 I think. But you won't regret it! My hairdresser uses one, and it works so much better than mine!

I love, love, love my straightener, It's a hot tools brand, I know I paid $50 or less...I bought it 5 years ago and it's still working great, heats up in 1 minute and stays HOT!
