PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT I AM ONLY TALKING THE FIRST YEAR IN COLLEGE BALL (NOT THE COLLEGE CAREER OR THE PROS).

THE REASON I ASKED THIS QUESTION IS BECAUSE CLARK KELLOG (A FORMER OHIO STATE PLAYER AND NBA PLAYER) AND AND HIS BROADCASTING PARTNER CLAIMED/SAID THAT ODEN WAS OR WILL BE AS GOOD AS THE ABOVE MENTIONED PLAYERS.

ALCINDOR'S FIRST YR STATS - 29 PPR AND 15.5 RPG

WILT'S FIRST YR STATS - 29.6 PPG AND 18.9 RPG

RUSSELL'S FIRST YR STATS - 19.9 PPG AND 19.2 RPG

WALTON'S FIRST YR STATS - 21.1 PPG AND 15.5 RPG

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ODEN COME CLOSE TO THOSE STATS.

HE WILL BE CLOSER TO A PAT EWING.

Dude, there is no one today who is as good as the college players were back in the 70's and before. Back then you had complete basketball players. Today you have big guys who can't shoot from beyond five feet, guards who can dribble and shoot but haven't the least idea of what an assist is, and coaches who are pretty much in it for themselves.

Frankly, its a shame Oden couldn't go straight to the NBA where limited talent makes you a star.

Hey, maybe Oden is the second coming. But don't worry, a few years in the pros and he'll be another untalented superstar.

He does seem to be playing on that level, but he needs to win a national championship to truly considered amongst the great. The real question is, who was the better Super Freshman, Carmelo Anthony or Greg Oden?

that guy is a beast, he's only 18 years old, imagine what he will be like after a couple of years in the NBA. they are already calling him the next big thing. He will most likely gbe drafted next year if he continues to have a good freshman year.
