Because its not physically appealing. Take a girl who is fit and healthy in their 20's and a fat girl who eats a lot in their 20's. Same with men. Fat animals are not who we bond with we like them because they are fluffy fat and cute. I am not being mean to fat people, I am stating my honest opinion on your question.

humans and animals are very different.animals look cute when they are fat because they are made in this world to be like that...this shows that the owner are good at them..they are also something to touch,so if the animals or pets are a kind of fat,we feel very comfortable with them.
Fat people do not look really bad, they just maybe a bit differ from us.in our eyes they look like that but believe me, some of them are beautiful in their condition.

We are living in a practical world.
Fat people are dubbed lazy and unhealthy.I know that's a stigma, but what are to say about that, whenthere are so many stereotypes in this world..!!!
It is an unfair world we are living in.
