This is a nice Christian response to my last question.

"Shame on you, you prick !!!"
Jesus favors no sin, as for he is meant for the salvation for all the sinners on Earth. So, as of now, you will plead for an apology, as obliged.

As for pleading for an apology, **** you you asshole!

And for the record Gladitorial Games took place anywhere the Empire was. The Legions loved it!

No his response was not Christian so on that I do agree with you. I know this is hard to believe but Christians are human, which means they do often times fall under the same weaknesses as anyone else. I can understand their frustration and attack given that your original question, which you failed to note here, was meant for nothing more than to incite an emotional response from someone. Here was your initial question this poster responded to:

"Do you think maybe Jesus liked watching Gladiators fight naked?"

Understand, when you make these comments about someone that a group regards so highly you will often incite normal human responses, which is to lash out in defense.

Case in point, just as you felt attacked you took it upon yourself to respond in kind....

"As for pleading for an apology, **** you you asshole!"

So your initial question was to "troll" the list in order to get under the skin of Christians, based on what I can only imagine as loosely determined logic on the Gladiatorial Games of Rome. Yes it is true that the gladiatorial games where held throughout Rome, but there is no evidence that Jesus either witnessed them nor that they were even held in any of the towns and/or cities that Jesus traveled to. If there is please provide proof.

If your intention was in fact to get a rise out of the Christians then don't get upset when you accomplish your goal, that or next time be careful what you wish for.

I don't think a true Christian would say such things. If I read your last question correctly you were asking about forgiveness of others. Why then would you need to plead for forgiveness of yourself? My best advice to you is don't stoop to their levels of name calling and judging. Not all so-called Christians are living as they should. I am truly sorry to hear that a simple question was answered in such a way that it upset you so. For your own sake just let it go as human nature is to judge others and live your life enjoying each day with it's many wonders. Have a lovely holiday season and please accept my apologies for whomever upset you so.

No. Not too Christian. But then it depends on how you look at it. Are we talking about the way a Christian SHOULD act, or are we talking about the way so many DO act in reality? The given response seems on par with the latter.

No, it sounds very human. A lot of Christians are self-righteous jerks - just like a lot of non-Christians... you just trolled for one and "got lucky". This "Christian" seems to have missed out on the message of Jesus's universal love... he must work for the Boston Archdiocese.

While, I belive the Christian religion is a good one ( I myself am Christian) that doesn;t mean that all Christians live up to Christian standards. Anyone can say that they are Christian, it takes faith and love to live like one!

I agree with Julia. That is the thing I would expect of someone who claims to be a Christian but isn't one. Pretty simple conclusion.

Please tell me you made that up?Sounds to me like that person needs to hit the alter wide open, and start begging Jesus for forgiveness. If his church condones such actions,he needs to have a coming to Jesus meeting with someone who can point him back in the right direction.

No wonder people won't go to church.

Probably another victim of an emergent church.
