When I was in high school, my boyfriend was... well, he didn't have a job, he didn't have a car, he didn't even have a license. He had no money. However, he was a very sweet and caring fellow. He went into a flower shop and spent every last dime he had (probably about $5 or so) on a single flower, (a rose) and a back of Jelly Belly jelly beans, my favorite candy, very expensive and very hard to come by. He bought them all of one flavor, Buttered Popcorn.
Now what's funny about this is that I hate buttered popcorn flavored Jelly Bellies. They are the absolute most disgusting flavor out there. But, he thought that they were my favorite, so he only got them. I figure, I complained about them so much they were the only one that stuck out in his head. My fault.
but it was very very sweet of him, because it showed that he was thinking of me while he was shopping. It wasn't just a "oh, lets get her a stuffed bear" thing. No, he actually thought about it and really wanted me to be happy. It was the best gift I ever got from a boy. (Most of them only want to get something for the sake of getting something. They don't think about it.)

Well the thing that I got my girlfriend that she really liked was a stuff animal (Penguin her favorite) and in the penguins hands was a silver necklace I thought it was a nice touch and she loved it.
